Custom extruded heat sinks in 6063 or 6061 aluminum. Existing tooling, CNC machining, anodizing, prototype-to-volume production, and global shipping.
Extruded heat sinks are high-efficiency cooling devices made by forcing aluminum through a precisiondie to form profiles with integrated fins. This one-piece construction (base plus fins) provides excellentthermal conductivity and structural stability – there are no thermal interfaces between the base and fins.We use high-grade aluminum alloys (typically 6063-T5 or 6061-T6) for strong, lightweight heat sinks.
Aluminum’s natural corrosion resistance and surface finish uniformity (after anodizing or coating) ensures reliable performance. Because extrusion is a simple, low-cost process, extruded heat sinks areespecially suitable for high-volume production, offering low per-unit cost and fast lead times.
Extrusion offers a strong balance of thermal performance, manufacturing efficiency, and projectflexibility. Compared with more specialized structures, it gives buyers a practical route from prototype to production while keeping geometry, finishing, and mounting options open.
Compared with skived, bonded-fin, or liquid-cooled solutions, an extruded heat sink offers a simple one-piece aluminum profile that is robust, economical, and easy to customize. Fin shape, fin spacing, basethickness, and overall length can be adjusted to the project, while secondary machining makes itpossible to integrate holes, slots, interface surfaces, and mounting details.
For many mainstream thermal requirements, extrusion gives enough cooling capacity without the extra complexity of higher-endstructures. It is especially suitable when the design needs dependable manufacturing, repeatable quality, and a clear path from sampling to volume production.
At XINXIANG, we supply standard and custom extruded aluminum heat sinks with cut-to-length service, CNC machining, drilling, tapping, anodizing, and assembly support for OEM andindustrial buyers worldwide.
Ourengineering team optimizes each profile for your airflow and mounting needs, maximizing surface areaand heat transfer.
Send us your drawing, target dimensions, power dissipation, airflow condition, quantity, materialpreference, and finish requirement. If your design is still at concept stage, we can review the applicationand suggest a suitable standard profile or a custom extrusion path. Our goal is to help you reach amanufacturable, cost-effective thermal solution with clear communication from inquiry to delivery.
Custom Fin Design:
We can create virtually any fin geometry and profile shape. Straight, slanted, and other continuous-fin profiles can be produced by extrusion, cross-cut or pin-fin structures may be created through secondary machining when technically feasible. Our in-house design support and extensive extrusion tooling allow quick development of custom dies.
Competitive Pricing:
Extrusion tooling is a one-time cost, so per-unit price drops dramatically atvolume. We offer low MOQ for prototypes (short runs) and tiered pricing for larger orders.
Fast Turnaround:
Prototypes (CNC or soft tooling samples) in ~1–3 weeks; full production in ~3–6 weeks after approval. Rapid production scheduling and streamlined processes keep your projecton time.
High Quality & Compliance:
ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing, RoHS/REACH compliance, and 100% inspection on critical dimensions. We maintain strict QC from incoming alloy inspectionto final shipping.
Global Service:
Our 6,000 m² facility ships worldwide. We provide technical support (drawingreview, thermal simulation advice), JIT delivery, and reliable logistics for customers in North America, Europe, Asia, etc.
Our extruded heat sinks cover a wide range of sizes and options. Typicalparameters include:
(Note: Values are illustrative ranges. Actual specifications depend on your design requirements.
“Unspecified” parameters (e.g. min fin thickness) are determined by die design and machinability
limits.)
Straight fin, slanted fin, pin-fin, wavy-fin, or custom multi-fin designs
Cut-to-length per order (no fixed max; ≥2 m possible before cutting)
Up to ~650 mm (depending on die size); can be sawed or machined as needed
3 – 150 mm (many profiles 10–80 mm); custom per application
0.4 – 4 mm typical
1 – 10 mm (fin-to-fin spacing; smaller pitch for higher fin count)
2 – 25 mm (application-dependent; thicker bases for structural or current-carrying needs)
Aluminum 6063-T5 (std), 6061-T6; Copper (ETP) available for special designs
≈ 2.7 g/cm³ (Aluminum)
Clear or black anodizing; MIL-PRF-8625 finishes available upon request. Powder coating (custom colors), orchromate; optional painting or custom plating (Ni, Cu)
~0.1 – 3.0 °C/W (varies with size, fin density, and airflow; see datasheet forspecific designs)
Application-specific; temperature limits depend on the alloy, finish, assembly components, and operating environment.
Usually within 24 hours. Just send us your drawing or basic specs — the more info you share, the faster we can quote accurately.
We offer both standard and fully custom heat sinks. If you’ve got a drawing, great — if not, share us info of your project, we’ll help you find a fit.
Absolutely. We can design custom die profiles based on your drawing or requirements (fin geometry, number, orientation, mounting tabs, slots, etc.). Extruded heat sinks can also be secondary-machined (milled, tapped, drilled) easily after extrusion. Let us know your thermal load and mounting constraints and our engineers will design the optimal profile.
We typically use aluminum alloys 6063-T5 and 6061-T6 for most extruded sinks, balancing conductivity and strength. Other alloys like 6082-T6 are available for specific needs. In rare cases we can extrude copper (much heavier) for very high-power devices. We’ll help you pick the right one based on performance, weight, and cost.
Standard finish is clear (transparent) anodizing to prevent corrosion. Black anodize is very common for better emissivity/aesthetics. We also offer powder-coated colors, or specialty finishes (chromate, copper/nickel plating) on request. Finishing both protects the aluminum and meets any color/branding needs.
Sure thing. Our team can review your specs and suggest suitable materials, fin types, or cooling methods based on your application.
We do. Whether you need 10 pieces or 10,000, we’re flexible. We also support prototyping for new designs. Send us your drawing and required quantity, and we will prepare a quotation.
We’ve got a large inventory of existing molds. That means we can sometimes skip the tooling stage and jump straight into production. For that it takes us 1 to 4 weeks depending on the details of your order.
For an order that uses custom heat sink mold, the tool development and submitting sample for approval is usually required. We can also work on that quickly.
We select suitable packaging according to the part size, fin density, quantity, and shipping method. Options may include protective trays, cartons, pallets, or wooden crates.
We can also follow your specified packaging requirements.
Yes, we can. We work with several reliable freight forwarders and can arrange door-to-door shipping to most countries — just let us know your delivery address.
We can also use your freight forwarder if you have one.
