Surface finish is sometimes treated as one of the last items on a heat sink drawing. In practice, it can affect much more than appearance. For an aluminum heat sink, the finish may influence corrosion resistance, electrical contact, surface emissivity, dimensional tolerances, cosmetic consistency, a
